About

Thirteen years ago I could have never imagined starting a blog.  For one, I didn’t even know they existed, or what a blog was.  More so, I’ve never been known for my reading/writing skills.  In fact I could have flunked out of high school English classes if it weren’t for my charming way with teachers and butt kissing ability.  But in 2009 I took my first “trip”.  What I’ve come to know as a “trip”, that is.  It’s different for everybody.  But that trip has shaped my past 13 years.  It’s all I think about in my spare time…the next one.  I’m not even on the plane heading home from the one I’m on and I’m researching the next spot.  That trip to Panama and Colombia in 2009 was with 2 great buddies of mine and memories I’ll take to the grave with me.  Little did I know the Juan Valdez coffee we drank on the steps of our hotel in Cartegena, simply people watching, would turn into my most “simple pleasure” in life.  Since then, I’ve traveled to over 70 countries and the first thing I look forward to doing is waking up the first morning in a strange place with the hopes to find that perfect little shop, watch those around me, and see how they treat me & go about their daily life.  Trains, Planes, & Drinkable Beans originated so that I can look back when I’m 100 years old and remember moments that I won’t have stored away in my old brain.  If you’d like to come along for some terrible English, iffy stories, and cool pics please feel free to subscribe!
